CASS™
What is CASS certification?
CASS™ (Coding Accuracy Support System) is the U.S. Postal Service program that tests address-matching software. It was designed with the mailing industry to improve the accuracy of the Five-Digit ZIP Code, ZIP + 4, delivery point and carrier route codes that appear on mailpieces.
It matters for your postage: according to USPS, any mailing claimed at an automation price must be produced from address lists properly matched and coded with CASS-certified address matching methods. MaxCASS Plus is CASS Certified. USPS CASS program.
ZIP + 4®
Complete, correct ZIP + 4 codes
The USPS ZIP + 4 Product is the reference file that assigns the correct ZIP + 4 Code to a physical address. MaxCASS Plus adds missing ZIP + 4 codes, fixes typos and formats every address to USPS standards, so each piece qualifies for the best rates it can. USPS ZIP + 4 Product.

After CASS
CASS first, then Move Update
USPS requires CASS processing on a list before Move Update processing, so addresses are standardized before they’re matched to change-of-address data.
